Assessing Brian McLaren's Emerging Theology
In the U.S., Brian McLaren is one of the most popular spokespersons for Christianity. But he has proposed a "new kind" of Christianity with a revisionary gospel that depends extensively upon some key yet problematic ethical and theological presuppositions, which result in him rejecting a literal hell and embracing a type of inclusivism where most everyone is in God?s kingdom. This session will seek to understand his "gospel" and show how it has some serious shortcomings.
